PRODUCT REVIEW: Elasta QP Olive Oil & Mango Butter Moisturizer

As much as I love having my hair braided, I don't mind wearing my hair out so I can try new products. This one I've had in my cabinet for about six months. It's so hard for me to try new studd because I know what works well for me. But I was intrigued by this product because it SMELLS SO GOOD! So, let me tell you how it worked . . .

Elasta QP Olive Oil & Mango Butter Moisturizer promises to create "rich thermal protection while being a daily moisturizer for softer fuller hair". This product could be used as a styling product but it's primary use is moisture. The product smells SO GOOD and it doesn't leave any residue on the hair. Sometimes, other products that call themselves moisturizers leave a weird film on the hair. You don't have to worry about that issue with this product.

The value is a great selling point too. At only 3.99 (retail) you get 6oz. Plus, you only need a little to do the job. It's really oily, so if your hair doesn't like an overload of oil, you can use a quarter-size amount and it would work.

Here's how I used it:
1. Washed and conditioned my hair with Shea Moisture shampoo & deep conditioner
2. Used the LOC method to seal in mositure: Motions leave-in conditioner, Coconut Oil, and the QP Elasta Olive Oil & Mango Moisturizer.
3. Blow-dry hair lightly to stretch
4. Two-strand twist, sealing the ends with QP Elasta Olive Oil & Mango Moisturizer
5. Release and style in the AM

Second day hair . . . looking plump
So, I recommend this product. It's great if you don't want to use grease on your hair, but you want a nice lite oil to seal in the moisture.
