Shaved sides 2014 to growing it out in 2015 |
Hey y'all! I'm back for my monthly hair diary! And I'm happy to report that, WHEW, my hair is GROWING! When you think about growing you hair back after having shaved sides, the task seems super daunting. But once you have a plan and a bunch of patience, you can make it to the next level.
Check out my hair, it's GROWING, GROWING, GROWING! I'll let you know my secret.
First set of braids, Dec 16, 2014 - March 16, 2015 |
So, I couldn't deal with having two different lengths of hair, thank the Lord for boxbraids. I needed something versatile and I went back to my old standby. In addition, I've been addicted to my Samson's Secret Hair Growth Supplements. I've tried a ton of hair growth supplements, including biotin, but I've had the most success with Samson's Secret.
Like I said in my previous post,
The pills are small and are easy to swallow. I haven't experienced hair growth in any other parts of my body - which is a huge complaint by many who take hair growth supplements. In addition, the physical benefits of Samson's Secret are quite evident in my life. My arthritis pain is even going away. WHEW! This stuff is amazing!I really don't know if my hair would have gotten so long if I wasn't taking the Samson's Secret. When I removed my braids, I had gained back the two inches of heat damaged hair I cut off before I installed the first set. I also had ushered in the return of my signature puff! Oh, I hadn't seen Ms. Puff in about two years! I was able to achieve this loo with a good ol' elastic headband (I didn't miss that struggle)
Hey Miss Puff! |
I wore my hair out for about two weeks. I got to play in it, try some new products, get frustrated with shrinkage, and take a bunch of cute instagram pics (follow me, @fabglance1). My friends were SUPER surprised by my hairs growth and excellent rebound. I can say, shaving the sides and chopping about 3 inches off the top has renewed my love for my hair. Before the shave, I was truly frustrated. Now, I'm excited about things I'll try as my hair is getting to my desired length.
