ROOTS & RHYTHM: Lauryn Hill - "Everything is Everything"

This week's rhythm is tuned to the vibe of Ms. Zendaya Coleman.  Let's show some love for beautiful locs!

Loc Love: Adding texture for the win.

She handled a situation many deal with often in a graceful, well-thought out manner.  In front of the world. Bravo.

At the heart of her decision to wear faux locs, Zendaya attempted to challenge the stereotypes that prompted the response she received.  So in some way, it seems she was prepared for the experience. The way she handled herself is proof.

Loc Love: Straight down to business.

Many have asked my thoughts and I decided to take a cue from Zendaya and take a moment to think about the problem - and how we can find the balance we seek. We'll discuss more next week.
