Roots & Ryhythm: Kelly Rowland - 'Dirty Laundry'

"You see the glory, but you don't know my story."

We've heard that phrase a thousand times and singer Kelly Rowland gave us one more reason to believe it.  Rowland released the first single, 'Dirty Laundry' from her latest project 'Talk A Good Game' this week and she aired it out.

Kelly in curls.  One of my favorite looks on her.

In her latest track, Kelly shares everything from the emotional struggles building her own career in the wake of Beyonce's solo success to an abusive relationship that alienated her in anger and frustration.

Sometimes less is so much more.  Kelly pulls together a casual yet chic look here.

Kelly reveals another woman who carried on in silence until she could find her voice again.  Ten years ago, we were cheering Kelly on as she released her debut, Simply Deep, and now we see how deep her pain really went.

'And it’s almost been a decade
I’m behind them black shades
Roll up like it’s all good, right up out that escalade
Fix my make-up, “get it together, Kelly, get it together”'

Kelly's delivery of her raw emotions is sure to make this single one of her most successful.  After watching her all these years, she finally answered one question many have asked, "How did you really feel about Beyonce's success after Destiny's Child?"  You'll find her answer below.

Kelly's latest project : Talk A Good Game.
