If you missed it, I had my hair cut and straightened recently. And then.... I missed my curls. Before February, it had been at least a year since my hair was straightened successfully. I was beginning to think that I was a lost cause. Yes for great hair stylists!
But it was straightened, alright. Seriously straightened. Not a wave, kink, or wrinkle could be seen or felt anywhere on my head. It LOOKED and FELT like my hair was relaxed. And that's when I missed my curls. I missed those annoying suckers so much.
But I'm back! Up until about a week or so, I have worn my hair really big almost every day since I washed the flat iron style. And I have loved it. I am stretching my twist out for a week, sometimes more. I am just loving the curly life.
Since my big hair love affair is in full swing, I have come across a couple of dilemmas. First of all, I am graduating from Tennessee State University. I am super excited. On May 11th I will finally get my bachelors degree. (9:00 a.m. at Hale Stadium. You are all officially invited!) And I can't help but wonder how I will fit all of this hair under that graduation cap. My hair is shoulder length, but twists shrink so much unless they are mini. I don't want mini twists on graduation. Help!!! My hair is not long enough to do the styles in Naptural85's graduation video. My hair still goes "up" most of the time.
Have any readers worn natural hair under their graduation cap? What style did you wear?
P.S. I'll save the conversation on my vacation hair until later. But it's coming.
